CBU members

The Confederation of Builders of Ukraine is the largest industry union, representing over 900 members, representing more than 100,000 employees in the construction and related sectors, and has a presence in all the regions of Ukraine. The Confederation was established in 2011.







The Confederation of Builders of Ukraine is the only representative of Ukraine in the European Construction Industry Federation (FIEC), it includes 32 national Member Federations in 27 European countries. On the CBU initiative and following a number of meetings with FIEC, the Task Force FIEC – EIC “Ukraine”, which unites interested European construction business for the future reconstruction of our country, was established. During the Task Force FIEC-EIC “Ukraine” meetings, the issues of assistance to Ukraine are actively discussed, including training abroad of Ukrainian builders (there have been the initiatives of Slovakia and Belgium so far).
Now, despite the war, difficult time for everyone, CBU continues to operate and holds regular events in order to consolidate joint efforts of business to overcome the consequences of Russian armed aggression against Ukraine and coordinate actions for the future reconstruction of our country.
Due to the CBU members position a number of amendments to the current legislation was adopted, which enabled Ukraine to raise from the 140th to the 20th position out of 186 countries in the last Doing Business ranking by the indicator Dealing with Construction Permits.
CBU is a modern, mobile, high-tech platform, which allows you to develop your business, build partnership, as well as take part in shaping the construction service market and progressive regulatory rules of the game for the efficient and high-quality reconstruction of Ukraine.

THE ROLE OF CBU IN THE RECOVERY OF UKRAINE:
1.Assistance in restoring and rebuilding of destroyed and damaged facilities:
- Special trainings for Ukrainian communities and customers, where we teach how to develop correct documentation, where to submit it, who to communicate with. Introduce to the current recovery and regional development support programmes, their features and financing conditions. This is to ensure that the affected settlements have projects for recovery, reconstruction, etc., which willing investors or partner countries governments are ready to invest in.
- Taking into consideration the extent of destruction, CBU is actively working to attract Ukrainian and interested foreign construction companies to rebuild Ukraine. The companies – CBU Members are already actively involved in the restoration of destroyed or partially damaged facilities.
2.The main principles of future reconstruction for the international community have been worked out
- The Recommendations for the Future Reconstruction of Ukraine on the future reconstruction basic principles for the international society were worked out together with FIEC (European Construction Industry Federation), EIC (European International Contractors) and CICA (Confederation of International Contractors' Association)
3.CBU together with the state authority representatives develop the regulatory and legislative amendments in order to facilitate the procedures and improve the investment climate for the post-war reconstruction of Ukraine.
4.Three large forums on the future reconstruction were held
