🏫 Adaptation of Vocational Education and Integration into the CBU Industry Community

During the extended meeting of the CBU Board of Directors held on March 18, 2026, as part of Business Day CBU, Ivan Sorokin, Director of the Kharkiv Higher Vocational School of Construction, a company, member of CBU, outlined the key challenges faced by the institution and presented its development priorities in the context of wartime conditions and ongoing reforms in the vocational education system.

🎒 It was noted that the institution provides educational services and trains qualified workers for the construction sector. In particular, cooperation has been established with leading construction materials manufacturers in Ukraine, including Henkel Bautechnik (Ukraine) and Caparol, and the institution has actively contributed to the development of the new professional standard “Concreter Worker.”

⚖️ Attention was drawn to the fact that during martial law, the institution adapted its educational process by transitioning to дистанційне навчання, in line with the broader vocational education system. At the same time, it was emphasized that the sector is entering a reform phase following the adoption of the new Law on Vocational Education, with its implementation scheduled for 2026–2027.

👷 The institution also plans to obtain licensing for training in the “Concreter Worker” profession, further strengthening its role in workforce development for the industry.

✊ It was highlighted that joining the Confederation of Builders of Ukraine provides access to актуальні процеси в будівельній галузі, including innovative construction technologies and modern building materials, which are essential for both teachers and students. Participation in CBU initiatives, particularly in the field of business education, was described as important and prestigious, contributing to closer integration with the professional community.
