🤝 Austrian-Ukrainian Business Forum: Economic Partnership

On March 5, 2026, the Austrian-Ukrainian Business Forum took place, featuring an Austrian delegation led by Wolfgang Hattmannsdorfer, Federal Minister for Economy, Energy, and Tourism of Austria. The event brought together representatives from 200 Ukrainian and Austrian companies in the fields of energy, agro-processing, and information technology.

💼 The business forum followed the conclusion of the 16th meeting of the Ukrainian-Austrian Intergovernmental Commission on Trade and Economic Cooperation. The commission served as a vital platform for discussing strategic directions for developing economic relations between Ukraine and Austria, as well as strengthening bilateral business dialogue.
Participants were welcomed by Oleksii Sobolev, Minister of Economy, Environment, and Agriculture of Ukraine; Vasyl Khymynets, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ukraine to the Republic of Austria; and Robert Müller, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Austria to Ukraine

📍 Oleksandr Chervak, Executive Director of the Confederation of Builders of Ukraine (CBU), and other CBU members also participated in the forum.
📝 During the forum, participants discussed key areas for developing the Austrian-Ukrainian economic partnership, including energy development, infrastructure modernization, as well as financing and the implementation of modern technologies in projects for the reconstruction and modernization of Ukraine's economy.

🏦 Special attention was given to investment issues, the development of the banking sector, and the implementation of innovative technologies that can contribute to economic recovery and the formation of a modern, resilient infrastructure.

⛱️ Participants also emphasized the importance of humanitarian demining as a necessary prerequisite for infrastructure reconstruction, the restoration of agricultural production, and the attraction of investments.
