👤Christian John Engelsen, Chief Scientist at SINTEF, will be a speaker at the Recovery Construction Forum 3.0, which will be held on November 13, 2024 in Warsaw, Poland.

He will participate in the discussion panel “The potential of mineral extraction and recycling in construction as a basis for the future reconstruction of Ukraine”.

💬“The destroyed infrastructure in Ukraine represents enormous volumes which to a large extent can be recycled to new recycled materials fully usable in new constructions, which in any case need large amounts of material resources. The C&D waste can be recycled at site or at the landfills with stationary or mobile plants. Knowledge of the required quality and performance of the recycled materials in the final products is often the key to maximum utilization. SINTEF is eager to provide assistance to the selection of relevant processing technology, quality benchmarking of recycled materials based on the end-products and training/information campaigns of recycling operators, contractors and building developers to ensure market acceptance of recycled materials”, Christian John Engelsen notes.
