📑 Extended Meeting of the CBU Committee: Regulation of the Construction Products Market, Pricing, and European Integration

🗓️ On April 8, 2026, an extended meeting of the CBU Committee on Construction Products was held under the chairmanship of Sergii Pylypenko, Vice President of the Confederation of Builders of Ukraine (CBU) and CEO of Kovalska Industrial Group.

Oleksandr Rotov, First Vice President of the CBU, opened the event with a welcoming speech, noting the importance of the Committee's systematic work in developing practical solutions for the industry.

💭 Olena Shuliak, Chairwoman of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on State Power, Local Self-Government, Regional Development, and Urban Planning, outlined the results of work regarding the application and development of legislation in the field of providing construction products on the market.
During the discussion, further attention was focused on developing practical solutions to improve legislative regulation in this area.

⚖️ Continuing the discussion, Oleksandr Novytskyi, Head of the State Inspectorate of Architecture and Urban Planning of Ukraine, noted: "Today, in the construction products market, we see a problem of insufficient business awareness regarding market surveillance and technical regulation requirements."

🔗 The issue of practical implementation of these approaches in the field of pricing was continued by Inna Vakhovych, Director of the Department of Pricing, Economics, and Construction Management at the Ministry for Communities and Territories Development of Ukraine. She presented the first results of implementing the new codifier of construction products and a unified price database, specifically working on the functionality for entering technical characteristics and updating coding in estimate norms.

📍 Based on the results of the discussion, the need to synchronize the national regulatory framework with European requirements, develop the institutional capacity of the conformity assessment system, and strengthen practical tools for business to ensure transparent and clear market conditions was emphasized.
