🏗️ How to build modern hospitals in Ukraine?

On June 5, 2026, the CBU held a working meeting with representatives of the Finnish company IHDA and the architectural firm abmk to discuss modern approaches to the design and construction of medical infrastructure in Ukraine.

📚 During the meeting, the parties explored the possibilities of applying prefab and precast technologies in the construction of hospitals and social infrastructure, and shared the Finnish experience of developing medical facilities using modular and prefabricated structures. Special attention was given to the flexibility of layout solutions, construction speed, energy efficiency, and the adaptation of projects to Ukrainian building regulations and safety requirements.

🔗 The meeting participants discussed the potential of Ukrainian manufacturing facilities to produce the necessary structural elements, as well as the prospects for localizing modern technologies in Ukraine as part of the future reconstruction efforts.

🏥 The parties also agreed to continue their cooperation in developing technical solutions for a pilot project of a standardized hospital concept, involving relevant ministries and the expert community for further coordination of design and regulatory issues.
