The CBU is the only representative of Ukraine in the European Construction Industry Federation (FIEC), which includes 32 national member federations from 27 European countries.

The President of the CBU noted that Finland is one of the leading countries in the construction of schools and hospitals, and therefore Ukraine is extremely interested in such experience: "Today, Ukrainian companies that are open to cooperation with Finland joined the meeting. Therefore, I suggest that we could get acquainted with each other's activities and find possible ways of future partnership."

Also, Lev Partskhaladze thanked the Finnish association Eastoffice for the initiative of holding such a meeting and emphasized the importance of further partnership.

👤Antti Vänskä,Ambassador of Finland for reconstruction and support of Ukraine noted that since the full-scale invasion on February 24, 2022, Finland has provided Ukraine with aid in the amount of 2.5 billion euros, which is specifically directed to:

➡️70% - military needs

➡️30% - government support

💬"This kind of support will continue to be provided. We understand that Ukraine needs to increase its GDP by a third, and Finland wants to participate in this. At the same time, the Finns, ordinary people, fully support Ukraine and such assistance is promising," said the Ambassador of Finland for reconstruction and support of Ukraine.

📜Antti Vänskä also said that the Government of Finland has prepared a National Plan for the Recovery and Reconstruction of Ukraine, which will primarily focus on the private construction sector. The Plan outlines the needs and organization of international assistance in the reconstruction of Ukraine, as well as proposed financial solutions for conducting market research, finding partners, export financing and investment. In addition, the Plan presents advisory services that companies can receive from the Team Finland network and other members of the business community.

At the same time, there is an understanding that Ukraine will eventually become a full-fledged member of the European Union and Finnish companies want to cooperate with Ukrainian companies on an equal basis, as colleagues.

👤Valeria Ivanova, Deputy Head of the State Agency for Reconstruction and Development of Infrastructure of Ukraine, thanked the representatives of the Finnish delegation for their participation in the meeting and their interest in the restoration of Ukraine: "Already now, based on the official data of damage caused by russian aggression, we understand that only the efforts of Ukraine will not be enough. We need the experience of rapid reconstruction and the support of partners. We are sincerely grateful that you are here, for a joint dialogue, and we hope that the projects and challenges that exist today will be discussed within the framework of the meeting and implemented in the near future."

She also emphasized that more than 250,000 infrastructure facilities worth $60 billion have been entered in the Register of Damaged and Destroyed Property. (222 thousands - private houses and 30 thousands - social infrastructure). However, unfortunately, this data only increases every two weeks.

💬"For Ukraine, not only the latest technologies in construction are important, but also the logistics networks of the supply of construction materials, which due to military operations will soon not meet the demand for such infrastructure restoration needs. If we are talking about the attraction of investments in the production of building materials, then there is already a certain shortage of materials, and over time there will be crazy amounts of restoration," Valeriya Ivanova said.

👤Janne Harjunpää said that the main task of Eastoffice, as a business association, today is to improve communications and cooperation with Ukraine for its companies. One of the strategies is such meetings for a better understanding of the current challenges, how Ukrainian business works and how to cooperate with it.
