💼 Practical Steps for Ukrainian Companies Entering the European Union Market

🌐 On November 14, 2024, during the ReBuild exhibition held in Warsaw, Poland, a workshop focused on Ukraine-EU integration took place.

🗣️ At the invitation of the European Commission, Borys Nikolenko, a representative of the Confederation of Builders of Ukraine (CBU) in the Ivano-Frankivsk region, participated as a speaker. He shared the experience of the Imperative company in integrating into the EU market.

The event's uniqueness lay in its focus on providing practical steps for Ukrainian companies to enter the European Union market. This topic is particularly relevant for increasing foreign currency inflows into Ukraine and supporting the national economy.

📍 During the workshop, Borys Nikolenko offered detailed insights to participants, including CBU members aiming to access the EU market. He explained the certification process for construction products in the EU — a crucial prerequisite for selling goods there — and outlined the procedure for Ukrainian businesses establishing a presence in Poland.

⚖️ Additionally, a comparison of business conditions between countries was presented. Notably, the ease of doing business and tax administration in Poland is more favorable than in Ukraine. For Ukraine's future integration into the EU and for attraction of foreign investors, reforms in tax, customs, and banking legislation are essential, with a focus on liberalization, as exemplified by Poland.

👥 Among the speakers and guests at the event were: Andriy Kolpakov, Head of Nova Post (Poland); Tymofiy Mylovanov, former Minister of Economy of Ukraine; European Commission representatives Jakub Boratynski and Janis Aizsalnieks; Dariusz Szymczycha, Vice President of the Polish-Ukrainian Chamber of Commerce; and many others.

☝️ Notably, with the expansion of the Nova Post network in the EU, the company is committed to providing high-quality services and engaging Ukrainian companies as clients. In this regard, Nova Post has adopted a customer-focused strategy and can offer competitive prices for its services to support the growth of Ukrainian businesses in the EU, including producers of construction materials. Such cooperation can be mutually beneficial, helping to expand the market reach of Ukrainian manufacturers.
