📆 On February 26, the ProfVentFasad 2026 professional forum for the ventilated cladding market took place. The event focused on key changes in 2026 regarding regulatory policies, state supervision, design, staffing, and industry development.

Opening the event, Svitlana Shakh, Founder of ProfBuild magazine, emphasized the importance of fostering an open professional dialogue.

🎓 Oleksandr Chervak, Executive Director of the Confederation of Builders of Ukraine (CBU), addressed the participants with a welcome speech. He noted that the labor shortage remains one of today's most acute challenges.

👷 Oleh Borysov, Deputy Chairman of the Builders' Union of Ukraine, highlighted the strategic importance of creating supervisory boards in vocational education institutions as a tool for qualitative changes in the workforce training system.

📊 Valeriy Kotliar, CEO and Head of Barks, presented an analysis of the ventilated facade market over recent years and outlined its primary development trends.

The forum also focused on market surveillance and construction product inspections. Nataliia Diuzhylova, Deputy Head of the State Inspectorate of Architecture and Urban Planning of Ukraine, spoke about the specifics of state control and current requirements for market oversight of construction products in Ukraine.

⛑️ Participants also explored modern energy-efficient solutions, specifically the integration of PV panels into facade systems as an accessible tool for increasing building energy efficiency. The practical session was dedicated to common installation errors in ventilated facades and ways to avoid them, as well as the benefits of such systems for architects and developers.

🧑‍🎓 The second panel discussion, moderated by Anna Arnaut, Senior Private Sector Engagement Expert at the EdUP project, addressed industry staffing challenges—the specialist shortage, the involvement of veterans as a strategic reserve for reconstruction, and finding solutions to stabilize the labor market during the crisis.

Forum Organizers: Barks (Member of the CBU Board of Directors) and ProfBuild. Supported by: Confederation of Builders of Ukraine (CBU).
