🔥 Scientific Research and Standardization in the Field of Fire Safety of Construction Products

Yaroslav Ballo, Head of the Regulatory Regulation Department, Lieutenant Colonel of the Civil Protection Service, Doctor of Technical Sciences, Senior Researcher at the Research Institute of Civil Protection of the National University of Civil Protection of Ukraine, who joined the full members of the CBU on June 18, 2026, spoke about the institution's activities, its role in shaping fire safety standards, and participation in industry events.

💬 “The Institute performs a wide range of tasks in the field of fire safety: from the development of state building codes and standards to testing and evaluation of construction materials entering the market.

We employ over 130 specialists in the fields of chemistry, physics, and fire modeling. We also operate Technical Committee TC 25 "Fire Safety" and a testing laboratory.

Joining the full members of the CBU is important for us, as we strive to be at the center of modern construction market trends and actively contribute to its development,” noted Yaroslav Ballo.
