🏦 The Confederation of Builders of Ukraine has joined the joint appeal of business associations regarding draft law No. 15262

The CBU, together with the Association of Ukrainian Banks, the National Association of Banks of Ukraine (NABU), the Association of Veteran Entrepreneurs of Ukraine, the League of Insurance Organizations of Ukraine, and the Ukrainian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, appealed to the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine and People's Deputies with a call not to support draft law No. 15262 "Draft Law on Amendments to the Tax Code of Ukraine Regarding the Peculiarities of Taxation of Banks with Corporate Income Tax," which envisages an increase in the corporate income tax rate for banks to 50%.

The position was formed based on the results of a joint discussion among representatives of the banking sector, business associations, construction, and insurance industries, which took place on June 8, 2026, and the document was signed on June 18 during the CBU Business Day.

📊 During the discussion, it was emphasized that the legislative initiative is being considered during a period of active recovery in economic lending.

🏗️ Representatives of the construction industry emphasized that the restoration of the housing stock, the implementation of large-scale infrastructure projects, and the post-war reconstruction of Ukraine directly depend on the development of mortgage lending and project financing, the provision of which requires a stable and well-capitalized banking system.

🤝 The document was signed by the President of the Confederation of Builders of Ukraine Lev Partskhaladze, the President of NABU Sergii Naumov, the Chairman of the NABU Council Volodymyr Mudryi, the First Vice President of the AUB Vitaliy Romanchukevych, the Vice President of the Association of Ukrainian Banks and Vice President of the CBU Sergii Mamedov, the Head of the Association of Veteran Entrepreneurs of Ukraine Serhii Pozniak, the President of the League of Insurance Organizations of Ukraine Viktor Berlin, and the Vice President of the Ukrainian Chamber of Commerce and Industry Rostyslav Korobka.
