📍 Training programme for occupational health, safety and environmental coordinators

🗓️ On February 2, the Confederation of Builders of Ukraine met with representatives of its strategic business partner, the Swedish company V94 AB, which focuses on developing vocational education to support Ukraine's economy and sustainable recovery.

🤝 The parties discussed ways to reintegrate veterans into the construction industry. V94 presented a comprehensive training program for military veterans, VET4V, to obtain certification as health, safety, and environment (HSE) coordinators. In particular, today, at the Vinnytsia Professional College of Construction, the first stage of training began for a group of mentors who will subsequently be involved in training veterans.
Further cooperation and the role of the Confederation of Builders of Ukraine in the implementation of the project were discussed, in particular, ensuring corporate partnerships for practical internships for veterans.

📋 Reference: The VET4V project transforms 30 Ukrainian veterans into certified HSE managers through a comprehensive 18-week program. The program combines 8 weeks of theoretical training in safety according to European Union standards, 8 weeks of practical training at reconstruction sites, and 2 weeks of entrepreneurship development with psychological support.

This program simultaneously addresses two critical needs:
🔸 Successfully reintegrates military veterans into civilian employment.
🔸 Fills the acute shortage of qualified occupational safety coordinators in the reconstruction sector.
It also strengthens alignment with EU construction safety standards.
