🌐 URC 2026 in Gdansk: an international platform for recovery, investments, and the secure future of Ukraine

On June 25–26, 2026, jointly organized by the Republic of Poland and Ukraine, the Ukraine Recovery Conference (URC 2026) will take place in the city of Gdansk. It will become a key international platform for coordinating efforts to rebuild Ukraine, strengthening international support, and attracting investments into the Ukrainian economy.

🛠 The event will focus on the sectors most affected by Russian aggression: energy, critical infrastructure, and logistics. An important component of the conference is the focus on strengthening Ukraine's security capabilities, including a new security dimension proposed by the Republic of Poland, which will become a new element of URC 2026.

👥 URC 2026 will bring together heads of state and government, representatives of partner country governments, international organizations and financial institutions, business leaders, local government bodies, and civil society organizations.

📍 The conference program will cover five key dimensions: business, human, local and regional, European, as well as security and defense.

📑 The Ministry of Communities and Territories Development of Ukraine has already completed the selection of communities to participate in the Conference. In total, 356 applications were submitted for the selection from communities across Ukraine. Based on the evaluation results, 102 communities were selected.

🧭 The selection was carried out in five key areas: experience in international cooperation, quality of strategic planning, application of a place-based approach, level of investment readiness, anti-corruption activities, and community participation in "Side by Side: Cohesive Communities" or other forms of inter-municipal cooperation.
