🌐 Work is ongoing on a pilot project to develop a standard concept for the design of healthcare facilities in Ukraine

📍 Within the framework of implementing the pilot project on developing a standard design concept for healthcare facilities in Ukraine, which is being carried out with the support of the Confederation of Builders of Ukraine, the Ministry for Communities and Territories Development of Ukraine, and the Ministry of Health of Ukraine, representatives of Finnish companies IHDA (Integrated Hospital Design Alliance) arrived in Kyiv.

📌 On 11 May 2026, the CBU organized working meetings for IHDA representatives at medical facilities in Kyiv, focusing on shelters, engineering systems, and technical solutions for modern medical infrastructure.

🏥 In particular, the delegation visited the Dobrobut hospital, where they discussed the role of shelters within the structure of medical facilities, the functional organization of the hospital, as well as technical solutions for heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) systems, power supply, and ensuring the continuity of critical infrastructure operations in emergency conditions.

🏛️ During the visit to the Kyiv Regional Clinical Hospital, participants were introduced to the facility’s current technical solutions and discussed potential challenges related to the operation of engineering systems. Special attention was paid to energy efficiency, backup power supply, shelter ventilation, and the integration of modern technical solutions into the reconstruction and new construction of healthcare facilities.

🥼 During the visit to Kyiv City Clinical Hospital No. 4, the delegation focused on practical aspects of engineering systems operation, adaptation of medical spaces to crisis conditions, as well as approaches to creating a safe and resilient hospital environment.

🗣️ In addition, during the hospital visits, participants discussed approaches to designing modern healthcare facilities, technical standards, interdisciplinary cooperation between designers, and the involvement of technical specialists from medical institutions in shaping solutions. IHDA partners from the architectural company abmk also joined the discussions to develop comprehensive approaches to creating modern and resilient healthcare infrastructure in Ukraine.

Within the framework of the visit, a practical workshop will also take place with the participation of architects, designers, medical professionals, and experts, dedicated to developing a concept for a multi-profile hospital for Ukraine.
