The Business Day CBU program includes:

🔹🔹 ROUND TABLE. GREEN SKILLS FOR UKRAINE’S RECOVERY: GOVERNMENT–BUSINESS DIALOGUE

Organized jointly with the Ukrainian–Swiss project “Public–Private Partnership for Improving Vocational Education in Ukraine” (EdUP) and Swisscontact, with support from the All-Ukrainian NGO “Living Planet” together with the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP).

The discussion will focus on the role of “green” competencies in Ukraine’s recovery: building new partnerships, motivating the development of sustainable skills, and integrating environmental standards into the construction sector. It will serve as a platform for business–government dialogue on implementing innovative, environmentally sound solutions.

There will also be a presentation of the experience of Swisscontact (Swiss Foundation for Technical Cooperation) and the project “Green Jobs for the Recovery and European Integration of Ukraine.”

🔹🔹 BLOCK 1. ON-THE-JOB MENTORSHIP PROGRAM: HOW TO RETAIN AND DEVELOP PERSONNEL

Organized in partnership with the Ukrainian–Swiss project EdUP and Swisscontact.

Participants will include representatives of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine (MES), construction companies, and vocational education institutions.

A presentation will be held on the program “Mentorship at the Enterprise: Swiss Experience and Ukrainian Practice.”

🔹🔹 BLOCK 2. RECOVERY THROUGH SKILLS: THE SYNERGY OF INFRASTRUCTURE AND TRAINING IN EBRD PROJECTS

Organized with the support of the multi-donor initiative Skills4Recovery, financed by the European Union (EU), Germany, Poland, and Estonia, and implemented by Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) and Solidarity Fund PL (SFPL).

This block will present an approach whereby infrastructure projects of international development banks can not only rebuild roads, housing, or energy systems, but also simultaneously train qualified specialists.

Participants will learn about the launch of a pilot project by the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), Skills4Recovery, CBU, MES, and the Ministry of Economy, which combines construction with training and creates new opportunities for veterans, internally displaced persons (IDPs), women, and youth.

🔹🔹 BLOCK 3. EXTENDED MEETING OF THE CBU BOARD OF DIRECTORS

An open dialogue will be held among government officials, distinguished guests, and representatives of construction companies. One agenda item will be the establishment of the CBU Committee on Interaction with Law-Enforcement Agencies and the election of its leadership.

Traditionally, the meeting of the CBU Board of Directors will also include the official admission of new members to the Confederation of Builders of Ukraine.
