👷Businesses Can Upgrade the Skills of Their Employees or Hire Candidates Proposed Under the Program "From Training to Employment: Vocational Training for Women and Other Target Groups"

Oleksandr Chervak, CEO of the Confederation of Builders of Ukraine, took part in the event where the official presentation of the Program was held.

The Program provides for retraining at educational institutions for candidates proposed by enterprises, upgrading their qualifications, and securing employment, primarily for women, in sectors with the highest demand for personnel, such as construction, transportation and logistics, agriculture, and services.

The expected project outcomes include at least 2,000 participants who will acquire new professions, undergo theoretical and practical training at enterprises, and subsequently secure employment at these enterprises.

🏭Regarding businesses – small, medium, and large enterprises facing a shortage of workers may participate. A company may propose its own candidate for retraining or accept proposed candidates. Among the key requirements are the availability of the necessary material and technical base for practical training and subsequent employment.

🏛️Educational institutions participating in the Program will develop and provide an educational program plan based on the established needs of employers, as well as a budget for the developed educational program.

How Will the Program Be Implemented?

🔸The personnel needs of enterprises will be assessed and communicated to educational institutions

🔸The best educational institutions offering training programs will be selected

🔸Participants will undergo training at the selected educational institutions (courses will last from 3 to 6 months)

🔸Participants will complete an internship at enterprises (minimum of one and a half months)

🔸It is expected that participants will secure employment at these enterprises

🔸Upon completion, participants will receive a certificate and employment

It is planned that 60% of participants will be women; 70% of participants will be employed; 30% of Ukrainian educational institutions will be able to participate in the project.

The goals of the Program are:

✔️to improve the activities of educational institutions;

✔️to identify and meet the current needs of employers for qualified personnel;

✔️to retrain vulnerable population groups;

✔️to promote professions traditionally considered male-dominated.

Training will be provided for the following professions: welder, electrician, mechanic, installer, agricultural machinery driver, roofer, plumber, road worker, machine operator, etc.

The Business Development Fund has launched the implementation of this Program. The Program is implemented within the framework of the multi-donor initiative Skills4Recovery with financial support from the European Union, the Government of Germany, the Government of Poland, and the Government of Estonia.

The Program is scheduled to start in June. Details will be announced later.
