☑️ Chairman of the Board of Directors of the CBU participated in a conference within the framework of KyivBuild Ukraine

On February 20, Oleksandr Rotov, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the CBU, took part in the conference "Reinforced Concrete and Innovations: New Horizons of Industrial Technologies," held as part of KyivBuild Ukraine 2025.

📍Organizers: ProfBuild magazine and KyivBuild Ukraine exhibition, in partnership with the Confederation of Builders of Ukraine.

👤 During his welcome speech, Oleksandr Rotov emphasized the importance of modern construction methods, particularly the use of prefabricated structures, which allow for faster and higher-quality construction. This is especially relevant for the creation of industrial enterprises, housing for internally displaced persons, and the reconstruction of destroyed cities.

☝️Among the key challenges facing the construction industry, he highlighted the large-scale destruction of housing stock, labor shortages caused by the migration of specialists abroad, or their participation in defending our country on the frontlines.

In his opinion, once large-scale reconstruction begins, Ukraine will need to develop industrial construction, which will enable rapid infrastructure recovery while involving fewer workers.

💬 "CBU, as an association of active market players, will make every effort to contribute to the development and rebuilding of our country," summarized Oleksandr Rotov.

During the conference, participants discussed prospects, technologies, and strategies for the development of industrial construction.

✔️ The event was moderated by Svitlana Shakh, Editor-in-Chief and Founder of ProfBuild magazine.

At the beginning of the event, Oleh Borysov, Deputy Head of the CONSTRUCTION WORKERS' UNION of UKRAINE, and Oleksandr Kovalchuk, Vice-Rector for Scientific Work and Innovation Development at Kyiv National University of Construction and Architecture and a member of the Board of Directors of the CBU, spoke about the relevance of the event.

👤 Yaroslav Kulikovskyi, Analyst at PRO-CONSULTING, presented an analysis of the concrete and reinforced concrete market in Ukraine during the war period.

👤 Mykhailo Kholodniak, Representative of AVR Development, spoke about the use of prefabricated structures in the construction of facilities for internally displaced persons (IDPs) and the “Unbreakable” ecosystem in Lviv.

👤 Oleksandr Shuvaiev, Head of Reinforced Concrete Production at EFE, highlighted automation opportunities in reinforced concrete manufacturing, particularly the experience of producing bridge beams for the reconstruction of the bridge over the Irpin River.

👤 Oleh Kalmikov, Ph.D., Associate Professor of the Department of Building Structures at O.M. Beketov National University of Urban Economy in Kharkiv and a CBU member, discussed new horizons in the design and production of optimized reinforced concrete structures using 3D printing technologies.

Additionally, a panel discussion was held as part of the event, dedicated to the development of prefabrication in Ukraine. Participants discussed whether this technology could become a priority for the country's reconstruction and what obstacles hinder its widespread implementation.

✔️ The discussion was moderated by Yevhen Tsariov, CEO of LOGISTRUCT and a member of the Board of Directors of the CBU, who also provided insights into the use of prefabricated structures in industrial construction and reconstruction.
