🌐As part of the second block of the Recovery Construction Forum Ukraine, dedicated to community support: from service to opportunities, a discussion panel on the topic "Dialogue on support and cooperation with communities. The role of business associations in reconstruction processes" was held.

👤The discussion was moderated by Serhiy Mamedov, Deputy Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Confederation of Builders of Ukraine, Vice-President of the Association of Ukrainian Banks, Chairman of the Board of Globus Bank, a financial expert who drew attention to the fact that in the second half of 2023, banks' loan portfolios increased by UAH 35 billion or by 16% of GDP growth.

"This was facilitated, firstly, by the active development of state lending programs (in particular, "5-7-9", "Affordable Factoring", "Affordable Financial Leasing 5-7-9", "eOselya"), and secondly, a significant reducing the discount rate, - stressed Serhiy Mamedov. - The development of lending will depend on the economic situation, because the availability of loans is primarily proportional to the cost of funds raised for lending."

👤Anatoliy Kinakh, President of The Ukrainian League of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs, spoke about the difficulties faced by business today. He noted that the most painful issue is access to resources due to the huge scale of destruction.

"It is necessary to scale up the eOselya program. There are 7 million Ukrainians abroad. The longer we create conditions for their return, the less will return. We need to work on preserving human potential in the complex," Anatoliy Kinakh said.

👤Pavlo Kachur, Head of the "Ukrcement" Association, presented the needs in cement for reconstruction and statistical data of its current production.

"Supporting one's own producer is a chance for the economy of Ukraine," Pavlo Kachu emphasized. He noted the importance of transparent procedures without corruption risks and localization of production. According to his forecasts, during the peak of reconstruction in 4-5 years, 14 million tons of cement will be needed per year.

👤Viktoriya Kulykova, Head of the Department of Committees of the European Business Association, informed about the activities of the association in the conditions of war, the problems that business faces today, and what questions business representatives are asking for help with.

"Business problems have changed since the beginning of the full-scale invasion. One of the latest polls that we have conducted showed that business optimism has grown," Viktoriya Kulykova emphasized. She reported that the European Business Association conducts various trainings, in particular, on how to apply for certain grants so that the application meets the requirements.

👤Mykhaylo Romanov, Vice President of ICC Ukraine for Investments and Exports, noted that there is currently a shortage of high-quality ready-made projects.

"The creation of regional ecosystems is the ability to restore the country now, it is the key to successful competition at the level of countries. Uniting communities and local business, investment funds, business science parks into a single ecosystem builds a transparent mechanism for attracting funds already today. This is the way to build clusters and industrial parks, taking into account the smart specialization of the region," says Mykhaylo Romanov.

👤Viktor Zhynzher, marketing manager of Würth – Ukraine, spoke about the company's activities during the war, in particular, about demand for new services. Among them, there are the strengthening of the foundation part after a missile strike, and the expansion of the existing monolithic slab using the "post-REBAR" technology. Also, the technology of reinforcing concrete elements is often used today.

"Just as reconstruction begins with expertise, it also begins with the project," Viktor Zhynzher emphasized. He noted the special convenience and efficiency of using BIM design.

👤Andriy Korol, Commercial Director of Caparol Ukraine, presented the company's experience in technical selection of solutions, documentation and full technical support of new construction facilities of key players in the Ukrainian market.

He spoke about the company's participation in restoration projects of historical and cultural heritage sites, including St. Sophia Cathedral (Kyiv), St. Andrew's Church (Kyiv), Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv (Kyiv), Lviv Town Hall (Lviv), House of the Rusovs (Odesa), and restoration of critical infrastructure facilities.

"Each community is a kind of hub-concentrator of reconstruction and assistance needs. According to the base of needs, Caparol Ukraine provides technical and economic recommendations and technical maps for the restoration of each object (both interior and facade surfaces), Andriy Korol said. - For Caparol Ukraine, responsibility is one of the priorities. 👤Serhii Skoryk, Sales Director of the Kvertus company, informed about the latest achievements in protection against drones. So, the company is able to manufacture thousands of devices per month and has unique combat experience against drones.

"Our main goal is to protect people. We release novelties in consultation with the military. The more EW on the front, the more lives we will save!" - Serhii Skoryk emphasized.

He noted that EW devices are able to protect industrial facilities, administrative and office buildings, construction sites and special equipment, logistics, buses with employees.
