🏗️ FIEC Statement on the fourth anniversary of Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine

🗣️ Four years after the start of the full-scale war, the European Construction Industry Federation (FIEC) once again condemns this aggression and reaffirms its full solidarity with the Ukrainian people, particularly with all those working towards a just and lasting peace.

✔️ With Ukraine's recovery and reconstruction needs estimated at $587 billion, solidarity must be backed by concrete actions — turning commitments into transparent, shovel-ready projects on the ground.

📢 Through the joint FIEC-EIC Task Force "Ukraine," in close cooperation with the Confederation of Builders of Ukraine, FIEC continues to support coordination, the development of practical solutions, and the alignment of processes with European standards and best practices.

In its statement, FIEC calls for:
✔️ reconstruction based on integrity and open contracting;
✔️ creating value for Europe and Ukraine with broad participation of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs);
✔️ alignment with EU standards and the application of the "best value" principle in public procurement;
✔️ strengthening risk mitigation mechanisms and expanding financing instruments;
✔️ as well as a green and resilient recovery.
