🖇️ First Affordable Mortgage Forum 2026: Discussing Ways to Scale Mortgages and Develop Residential Construction

📅 On March 31, 2026, the First Affordable Mortgage Forum 2026 took place. During the forum, participants focused on the need to scale the "eOselya" program and form a systemic model of mortgage financing. It was noted that during the program's implementation period, more than 24,000 Ukrainian families purchased housing, and the total volume of issued loans amounts to approximately UAH 43 billion.

📝 During the panel discussions, the role of mortgages in economic recovery, international experience in developing mortgage financing, tools for attracting investments in residential construction, and the development of the workforce housing segment were highlighted. Special attention was paid to the banking sector's readiness to lend to development projects and the need to reduce risks in construction as a prerequisite for expanding mortgage lending.

🗣️ Participants emphasized the importance of improving the legislative framework, implementing European approaches in the mortgage sector, and creating predictable conditions for attracting private capital and international support.

🤝 A practical result of the forum was the signing of a Memorandum between Ukrfinzhytlo, Mastercard, and Ukrgasbank. The document provides for the creation of a unified digital mortgage lending platform based on a "single-window" principle, which will ensure a full cycle — from application submission to transaction support.

📌 The Confederation of Builders of Ukraine (CBU) was represented at the event by Oleksandr Chervak (Alex Che), CEO of the CBU. Members of the CBU Board of Directors also took an active part in the forum, joining the discussion of key issues in the development of the mortgage and construction markets, including: Globus Bank, Intergal-Bud, Kovalska, Royal House, SIGMA+, and others. In addition, the Confederation of Builders of Ukraine received an acknowledgment for its contribution.
