Meeting of the CBU Committee on Tax Policy

📍 On January 23, 2026, a meeting of the CBU Committee on Tax Policy took place. Key issues and potential changes in tax policy impacting the construction industry were discussed during the event.

💭 Aleksandr Chervak, Executive Director of the CBU, delivered the opening remarks: "Our key task is to stimulate the primary residential construction market by creating transparent, understandable, and economically sound tax conditions."

📖 Considering the defined priorities, the meeting examined systemic tax policy tools aimed at stimulating economic activity and bringing financial processes out of the shadows. The "Free Hryvnia" (Vilna Hryvnia) initiative, which is proposed for consideration by the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine as part of future tax reform, was brought up for discussion.

📍 Ihor Opadchyi, Member of the Kyiv City Council, Head of the Standing Committee on Legality, Law and Order, and Relations with Security and Defense Forces, and Partner at JN Legal Law Firm, noted: "'Free Hryvnia' is an optimized tax payment system aimed at stimulating the circulation of funds."

📕 Iryna Tretyak, Partner at Crowe Mikhailenko and auditor, paid special attention to changes in reporting for sole proprietors and notaries, as well as the impact of annual changes in macroeconomic indicators on the construction industry. The participants discussed the practical aspects of implementing these provisions and their potential impact on business entities.

A discussion panel regarding forward contracts also took place.

Proposals submitted by the participants were reviewed during the meeting. These issues will be included in the agenda of the next meeting; the date and time will be announced later.
