📖 Mentoring as a tool for overcoming staff shortages

📆 On 8 October 2025, during the first block of the CBU Business Day, "Training programme on mentoring in the enterprise: How to Retain and Develop Staff,‘ the Ukrainian-Swiss project ’Public-Private Partnership for Improving Vocational Education in Ukraine‘ (EdUP) presented the training programme ’Mentoring in the Workplace: Swiss Experience and Ukrainian Practice."

🎤 Yulia Yepifanova, EdUP Project Manager, spoke about the programme's goals and expectations in her interview:

“The roundtable on workplace mentoring became a truly comprehensive event and, essentially, a platform where we were able to share with all participants — including educators, businesses, and representatives of state authorities — the latest developments in vocational education that affect both companies and educational institutions. In the context of the new law, we also presented the mentoring program that the EdUP team created and developed together with our Swiss partners and national experts, and finally presented today.

Importantly, the program we presented was not theoretical — we showcased practical solutions and invited participants to join the program and contribute to its scaling, essentially becoming mentors for future mentors. We expect that the program will expand its reach and help, at least to some extent, address the workforce shortage that many enterprises are currently facing.”
