🌐On March 25, 2024, a meeting of the CBU Committee on Construction Products was held under the chairmanship of Sergii Pylypenko, Deputy Chairman of the Board of Directors of the CBU, Chairman of the CBU Committee on Construction Products, General Director of Kovalska, member of the Board of Directors of the the CBU.

👤Sergii Pylypenko presented the current challenges and the process of finding opportunities to increase production volumes and involve CBU member companies in this process. In particular, before the construction of fortifications.

👤Oleg Varyvoda, a representative of the Office of the President of Ukraine, noted that in order to effectively involve manufacturers of building materials and contracting companies in the construction of fortification structures, it is important to understand the scope of needs: "Synergy of the state and society gives the highest effect."

This will make it possible to create fortifications more systematically: "There will be a lot of work, the work will be more systematic. We want to attract as many producers as possible."

👤Dmytrii Korytko, director of "UCAT-3D" LLC, a member of the CBU, informed about the application of 3D printing with concrete. He described the prospects for the use of technology and the changes that have taken place in the state regulation of this area. In particular, Dmytrii Korytko cited a number of problems that can be solved using 3D printing. He also presented the possibilities of using such technology to create protective structures. Separately, the problems of the lack of standardization of the construction of objects created using 3D concrete printing technology and the possibility of using standards based on EN (European standards) were discussed.

👤Andrii Skrypnyk, acting director of the "Ukrainian Research and Design Institute of Building Materials and Products", a member of the CBU, informed about the need to develop technical conditions and carry out certification for a wider use of 3D concrete printing technology: "It is necessary to develop technological maps, albums of possible technological solutions, and then proceed to estimate standards. Then the designer will open AVK (Ukrainian - ABK) and will be able to design your structure. Otherwise, these will be individual projects. It is necessary to know the characteristics of materials. The future is behind this technology, but you need to make a little effort."

👤Viktoria Spivak, head of the Innovation and Technology Center of Kovalska, a member of the Board of Directors of the CBU, shared her practical experience and achievements of the implementation of provisions Regulation (EU) No 305. Thus, she described how reformatting of the scope of accreditation is carried out taking into account product groups, validation of methods from European EN standards, coordination of interlaboratory tests and cooperation with state conformity assessment bodies.

💬 Viktoria Spivak described in detail the plan of actions that must be carried out: "We started by updating the material and technical base, because according to the EN test methodology, there are a lot of changes in the equipment itself”.

"I think that as manufacturers, we are most interested in this. Because this will not allow a product of inadequate quality to enter the market. And for consumers, this is a guarantee that the products they will receive have clear and understandable quality parameters. And bodies and systems will be able to control all this, and either limit or withdraw low-quality products from circulation", - noted the Chairman of the Committee of the CBU on construction products.

👤Sergii Pylypenko also considered the problem of personnel shortage and the prospects of booking workers in the construction sector as a strategic industry.

Based on the results of the discussion during the Committee meeting, it was decided to prepare an appeal from the CBU to the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine regarding the definition of the construction sector as a strategic industry.

👤Vadym Lyubarskyi, project manager of TPK, member of the Board of Directors of the CBU, presented proposals for changes to State Construction Standards 1.1.7:2016 "Fire safety of construction objects" to ensure fire safety of objects taking into account the risks of war. In particular, he made a proposal to oblige manufacturers of materials and enclosing structures to conduct a mandatory test for the reaction to fire indicator and to change the norms of the minimum values of the fire resistance class of enclosing structures.

According to the results of the meeting, it was recommended to submit proposals to the relevant technical committee for the development of fire standards and, in case of revision of the State Construction Standards by the Ministry for Communities, Territories and Infrastructure Development of Ukraine, to submit proposals from the CBU on this issue.

So, the participants of the meeting reviewed the presentation of the current state, development and proposals in the field of construction materials and noted the need to send an appeal to the official bodies regarding the discussed issues.
