👥 On March 20, 2024, a meeting in the format of the Business Club of the CBU was held, during which proposals and initiatives that will contribute to the future reconstruction of Ukraine were discussed.
Traditionally, the Chairman of the injured community was invited to participate. This time Nataliya Balasynovych, the Head of the The Vasylkiv Urban Territorial Community, joined us. She spoke about the current situation, plans and projects for the reconstruction and development of the destroyed territories.

👤At the opening of the meeting, Lev Partskhaladze, President of the CBU, noted that in difficult times, such meetings are a prospect for Ukraine's successful future: "Many foreign countries have already made a principled decision to enter the Ukrainian market. And we have to be prepared for it. Among the first, this applies to communities that need to prepare projects taking into account typical solutions for social infrastructure facilities. Work on it continues and now we need to communicate, exchange experience and work for the future of our country."

👤Natalia Balasynovych said that the community and the city of Vasylkiv have a convenient logistical location, there is also communal land that the local government is ready to provide to businesses, for example, for the construction of housing for internally displaced persons, social and educational facilities, etc.
💬 "We want new people to come to the community and the city to be "rejuvenated". We have ready-made projects, so I invite the construction business to join the cooperation", - explained the Head of the Vasylkiv Urban Territorial Community.

She noted that currently the State Inspectorate for Architecture and Urban Development of Ukraine is actively revising the Decision on licensing in construction, taking into account the proposals of the CBU.
💬"Currently, proposals will still be submitted and we will work together with the СBU to ensure that licensing in Ukraine is corruption-free, easy and does not prevent business entities from carrying out construction activities and at the same time takes into account that construction is the industry where entities must meet higher qualification requirements than other entities", said Olga Sydorchuk.

The speaker introduced the current offer on the market of new buildings, prices and sales of primary and secondary properties as on March 2024.
So, as of now, 84% of residential complexes that were solding until February 2022 now keep to sell in Ukraine. This indicator has been at the level of 80% for the past year, but it is increasing every month. Also, regarding the actual construction, 78% of housing complexes have resumed construction, and 22% have stopped.

She emphasized that despite the military actions and the economic downturn, the capital's office market demonstrated stability and adaptability. The share of vacant premises is 25% compared to the pre-war figure of 14%. Also in the market, the construction of objects that was started before the full-scale invasion (42,000 square meters of the future offer) continues, but at the moment completely new construction - is not started.
In addition, according to Ms. Anastasia, the demand for professional offices is increasing today, thanks to the reduction in prices.

👤Serhiy Kovalenko, Commercial Director of Vartis - The Metal Market of Ukraine and How is it Affected by Reconstruction Processes?
He said that the market demand for metal in Ukraine is currently 61% of the pre-war level: 4.5 million tons/year (2021), 2 million tons/year (2022), 2.7 tons/year (2023).
At the same time, according to Serhiy Kovalenko, the construction industry today consumes 23% of metal and is in 2nd place in terms of this indicator. Before martial law, the construction industry was in the first place in the structure of industries. However, it is worth understanding that the percentage of construction in the consumption of metal will only increase with reconstruction.

👤Paulo Al Ali, Product Owner of the USAID/UK Aid Project “Transparency and Accountability in Public Administration and Services”/TAPAS - Business Joining the Program eVidnovlennia (English - eRecovery).
He presented the current statistics of eVidnovlennia, according to which 47,000 applications for the payment of financial aid for the restoration of damaged housing were approved and UAH 1.3 billion was spent by program participants. Also, businesses have already joined the program - currently there are more than 2,500 unique shops or providers of construction services, more than 4,500 retail outlets, in which more than 130,000 transactions took place for an average check of 10,300 UAH.
Paulo Al Ali described the step-by-step business involvement in eVidnovlennia, which takes place exclusively online and on the Diya portal. The process of authorization, entering information about the bank, entering information about the point of sale and actually signing the application was discussed.

She presented the project's initiatives related to personnel in the field of construction and vocational education. The main idea of the project is focused on creating conditions for training personnel for quick entry into the labor market, which would be beneficial for both business (employers, product manufacturers) and vocational training institutions. Currently, according to Yuliya Yepifanova, there are 6 professional areas: plumbing and heating, welding, electricity, plasterers and tilers, facade insulators, concrete workers (new).

He introduced the participants to the specifics of appeals in the field of procurement. So, today's urgent issues are pricing, the offer with which they enter this or that purchase. Also, Constantine Globa spoke about the needs of developing tender procedures and his own practical cases of legal protection of general contractors.

He demonstrated to the participants how in 30 seconds a high-rise building turns into a burning torch if poor-quality insulation materials are used. Instead, Vadym Lyubarskyi presented a solution from TPK, which, especially during a major reconstruction, is more appropriate, economical and safer - a ventilated facade with metal cladding.
👤Anton Obriezkov, Head of Marketing Agency - Contextual and Targeted Advertising. How to Make Your Marketing Department Effective?
He presented marketing proposals for construction companies, contractors and developers. He also suggested to the participants review the marketing department's inspection checklist and fill out an application for a free audit of the advertising channel in order to better understand the effectiveness of their own business and possible ways to improve it.
