🤝Opportunities of the Ukrainian Market in Cooperation with Polish Business
Oleksandr Rotov, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Confederation of Builders of Ukraine (CBU), took part in the 17th Baltic Business Forum "Poland – Europe – European Union", organized by the Polish-Ukrainian Chamber of Commerce with the institutional partnership of the Confederation of Builders of Ukraine.
The forum traditionally brings together business leaders, government officials, experts, and analysts of the region to discuss current challenges that influence the future of Europe. This year’s discussion focused on Ukraine — its path toward EU membership, economic transformation in wartime conditions, and opportunities for international partnerships.
Participants of the forum included former President of Poland (1995–2005) Aleksander Kwaśniewski and former Prime Minister of Poland (2004–2005) Marek Belka, incumbent ministers, representatives of major Polish and Ukrainian public and private companies, and representatives of local governments from both Poland and Ukraine.
The forum served as an effective platform for networking, important meetings, and establishing valuable business contacts.
👤In his speech, Oleksandr Rotov emphasized the key tasks of reconstruction and prospects for foreign businesses, particularly Polish companies, in the construction sector.
🏗️According to him, the priorities of reconstruction remain critical and social infrastructure — schools, hospitals, energy, water supply, and logistics. International partners are most actively engaged in projects in the western and central regions of Ukraine, where the security situation allows for the implementation of large-scale initiatives. In the Lviv, Zakarpattia, and Khmelnytskyi regions, construction is already underway on housing for internally displaced persons (IDPs), schools, and logistics centers, along with projects on energy-efficient modernization.
🏭Special attention was given to the potential of industrial parks in Ukraine, which create favorable conditions for attracting investors. These include a ten-year corporate income tax exemption, import duty relief for equipment, and partial reimbursement of infrastructure costs. Such conditions offer significant opportunities for production localization, particularly of construction materials.
💻Oleksandr Rotov also highlighted the growing demand for new technologies in the construction sector. Solutions for rapid capital construction, enhanced energy efficiency, modern insulation systems, and digital project management tools are highly relevant today. High technological efficiency is the key to successful reconstruction within tight timelines and under limited resources.
🤝The Confederation of Builders of Ukraine expresses gratitude to its Polish partners for their support and cooperation. Together, we are laying the foundation for Ukraine’s resilient European future.
WE WILL WIN AND REBUILD EVERYTHING! 💪
TOGETHER TO VICTORY!
GLORY TO UKRAINE! 💙💛
