🪖 Practical training for veterans on the construction sites of CBU member companies has commenced within the SAFER Reconstruction project
On May 18, 2026, an introductory meeting took place as part of the practical training stage for veterans under the SAFER Reconstruction project. This project is jointly implemented by V94, the Vinnytsia Professional College of Construction, Architecture and Design of KNUCA, the Ukrainian Veterans Fund, the Confederation of Builders of Ukraine (CBU), and the Kyiv National University of Construction and Architecture (KNUCA).
During the event, Mikael Hallberg, the Project Director, welcomed the participants. He highlighted the importance of transitioning from theoretical preparation to practical training and wished the veterans successful professional development in the construction industry.
💬 "This is an important step not only for the professional adaptation of our defenders but also for building the new personnel potential of the construction industry. It is highly valuable that businesses are actively joining this initiative, providing an opportunity to gain real hands-on experience and prospects for further employment", noted Oleksandr Chervak, CEO of the CBU, in his welcoming address to the participants.
The CBU has joined the coordination of practical interaction between the project participants and representatives of the construction business, helping to engage companies for veterans to undergo practical training on real construction sites.
🏗️ Veterans will undergo practical training at the construction sites of companies in Kyiv, Vinnytsia, Kropyvnytskyi, and Lviv. Among the companies that joined the program are members of the CBU Board of Directors: Jaguar, Trust KMB-3, Kyivmiskbud, Rubicon-Construction, Kreator-Bud, Big Project, and Khmilnyk. Company representatives confirmed their readiness not only to provide practical training but also to consider opportunities for the future employment of the program participants.
During the meeting, the veterans presented their professional experience and met with representatives of the enterprises where they will do their internship. They also received organizational recommendations regarding the educational process, keeping practical logbooks, and interacting with the program curators.
📕 After completing the practical stage, the veterans will continue their studies and receive certificates of training completion. The project is of a pilot nature and is designed to become the basis for the further development of professional standards and the systematic integration of veterans into the construction sector.
