🎓Recovery through knowledge: launch of a new EBRD initiative

✈️On 8 October 2025, during the second block of the CBU Business Day ‘Recovery through skills: synergy between infrastructure and training in European Bank for Reconstruction and Development projects’, the multi-donor initiative Skills4Recovery and the EBRD, in partnership with the Confederation of Builders of Ukraine, announced the launch of a pilot initiative to train skilled construction workers.

🎤Barbara Rambusek, Director of Gender and Economic Inclusion at the EBRD, shared her thoughts on the goals and expectations of the programme launch in an interview.

💬‘We want to invest not only in physical reconstruction and restoration. We also want to invest in human capital, in skills, jobs and people in this country,’ Ms. Barbara emphasised.

📌The launch of this project is an important step towards sustainable recovery and further scaling of the programme.
