🚒 Science, Innovations, and Safety in the Field of Civil Protection: The SRIFCS of NUCZU Joined the CBU

✅ On June 18, 2026, during the meeting of the CBU Board of Directors within the framework of CBU Business Day, the Scientific and Research Institute of Civil Protection of the National University of Civil Defence of Ukraine (SRIFCS of NUCZU) — a leading research institution in the field of civil protection, fire, and technogenic safety — joined the full members of the CBU.

The Institute carries out scientific, scientific-technical, and research-testing activities aimed at developing Ukraine's civil protection system, preventing emergencies, and minimizing their consequences.

🚍 The history of the institution dates back to 1977, and today the Institute is a modern scientific center that combines years of experience, scientific potential, and practical activities in the field of fire and technogenic safety. The Institute belongs to the management sphere of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine and is a geographically separated structural unit of the National University of Civil Defence of Ukraine.

📌 The main areas of the Institute's activities include performing applied research and development works, testing building structures, materials, electrical products, and fire-fighting products, as well as training and professional development of specialists. The Institute has a unique research base — a fire-testing ground, which is a national heritage of Ukraine.

🔥 The Institute also operates the "FIRE SAFETY" Research Center, accredited by the National Accreditation Agency of Ukraine, which conducts fire hazard testing of substances, materials, building structures, and equipment in accordance with the requirements of current Ukrainian legislation and European standards.
