🌐SMART CONSTRUCTION EXPO 2023
🏗️On November 22, 2023, the SMART CONSTRUCTION EXPO 2023 exhibition was held in Ilsan, Republic of Korea, in which Oleksandr Chervak, Executive Director of the Confederation of Builders of Ukraine (CBU), took part.
Ham Kin-gyu, President of KEC, welcomed the participants. Also as part of SMART CONSTRUCTION EXPO 2023, Dmytro Ponomarenko, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ukraine to the Republic of Korea, and Vitalii Kim, Head of the Mykolaiv Regional Military Administration gave speeches.
🇺🇦 🇰🇷 As part of the exhibition, during the KOREA-UKRAINE Reconstruction Cooperation International Forum, the Executive Director of the CBU spoke about the challenges and needs of the restoration of Ukraine, implementation of innovative technologies during reconstruction, previous experience and prospects for cooperation with the Republic of Korea.
🏗️During the discussion, topics of infrastructure reconstruction, possible directions of modernization of technologies used in construction and prospects of using innovative technologies for the reconstruction of Ukraine were discussed.
👤 Oleksandr Chervak presented Ukrainian projects using modern technologies: smart city, 3D technologies, etc. He told about the implementation of digitalization and its positive effect in the fight against corruption. Oleksandr Chervak noted that the use of artificial intelligence in the construction industry has significant prospects for the development and automation of the industry: "But it is also worth remembering the risks that the use of artificial intelligence (AI) can bring. We consider it necessary to have human control over AI systems."
💬He noted the importance of implementing BIM technologies: "Building Information Modeling (BIM) has become the basic digital framework for the construction industry. The CBU is actively involved in this process, providing advice and proposals, for example, last year we participated in the development of proposals to amend the draft law text."
💬 Oleksandr Chervak assured that Ukraine is open to cooperation: "We are interested in implementing modern, state-of-the-art technologies that will help make the reconstruction of high quality. Their development will be of great benefit and promise. But such technologies are not yet widespread in Ukraine. The implementation requires significant time and resources, as well as investments. Ukraine is open to cooperation to make the reconstruction efficient and fast. Build Back Better!”

🗓️September 19, 2023 in Seoul in the framework of the Global Infrastructure Cooperation Conference (GICC 2023) and as a part of the special session Ukraine Infrastructure Restoration, a tripartite Memorandum on Cooperation on Infrastructure Restoration between the International Contractors Association of Korea(ІСАК), CBU and the Association of Construction Industry Employers of the Republic of Poland(PZPB) was signed.
🗓️October 20, 2023 The Confederation of Builders of Ukraine management and SsangYong E&C held a working meeting to discuss possible ways of cooperation.
🗓️November 9, 2023 another meeting with the HyundaiConstruction Equipment Division representatives was held, at which the cooperation areas were clarified, in particular, the issue of opening centers where Ukrainian specialists will learn to work with Hyundai equipment.
