🤝 Strengthening Cooperation with Canadian Partners!

🌍 In June, a meeting took place between Oleksandr Chervak, CEO of the Confederation of Builders of Ukraine (CBU), and Peter Cahill, Trade Commissioner at the Embassy of Canada, as well as Olesya Sheremok, Business Development Advisor at the Embassy of Canada.

During the meeting, Peter Cahill and Olesya Sheremok expressed the clear interest of Canadian companies in expanding cooperation with Ukrainian businesses, particularly in the areas of construction product supply and manufacturing, implementation of long-term infrastructure projects, and more. Special emphasis was placed on the similarity of climatic conditions in Canada and Ukraine, which opens up additional opportunities for adapting technologies and solutions in energy efficiency, building insulation, and engineering infrastructure that have already been tested in northern climates. 

The discussion also highlighted the importance of developing transparent and sustainable partnership mechanisms that meet international standards, ensure effective project management, and contribute to the economic stability of the regions.

Representatives of the Embassy of Canada acknowledged the strong potential of Ukraine’s construction industry, its flexibility under wartime conditions, the growing competencies of market participants, and the strategic importance of involving companies in the recovery that share common values — integrity, quality, environmental responsibility, and openness to innovation.

💬 The discussion covered opportunities for attracting Canadian investment, creating joint projects, integrating modern construction technologies, as well as expanding professional exchange and training initiatives. The Canadian side expressed its readiness to support Ukrainian companies through economic diplomacy tools, SME support programs, and participation in specialized industry forums and exhibitions.

🤝 Oleksandr Chervak noted that this cooperation is not only about financial investment but, above all, about building reliable international relationships that will enable Ukraine to recover swiftly, efficiently, and with a forward-looking perspective.

CBU will continue the dialogue with the Canadian side in order to move from discussion to concrete agreements and the launch of joint initiatives under the national recovery plan in the near future.
