📍 Task Force «Ukraine»: regional opportunities, financial instruments, and practical reconstruction case studies

On February 25, 2026, a meeting of the Task Force “Ukraine” of the European Construction Industry Federation (FIEC) was held, dedicated to developing cooperation with businesses and expanding financial opportunities for project implementation.

🛡️ “Ukrainians continue to bravely resist aggression and defend their state every day. At the same time, this struggle matters not only for Ukraine — you are defending the security and values of all of Europe,” noted Kjetil Tonning, Chair of the FIEC-EIC Working Group on Ukraine (Task Force “Ukraine”) and Honorary President of FIEC, while opening the meeting.

🤝 Lev Partskhaladze, President of the CBU, expressed his gratitude to FIEC and partners for their systematic cooperation.

Vira Savchenko, European Business Association, presented the company’s research focused on the strategic importance of Ukraine's western regions bordering the European Union — Lviv, Zakarpattia, Ivano-Frankivsk, and Chernivtsi regions.

💼 Ihor Taranov, Head of the "Horizon Europe Office in Ukraine," presented funding instruments and opportunities for Ukrainian companies within the Horizon Europe programs for 2026–2027.

Based on the results of participation in European programs, Ukraine has secured 64.3 million euros in grant funding, demonstrating growth compared to previous periods. A vital component is broad international cooperation — Ukrainian organizations collaborate with partners from over 60 countries, including EU member states, associated countries, and global economies.

Ihor Platonov, Owner of the "Ukrainian-European Firm Diamant" LLC, presented a project for the comprehensive restoration of the destroyed village of Yahidne in the Chernihiv region. Over 24 months, the company worked on rebuilding 70 facilities, including capital repairs, reconstruction, and virtually new construction.

Kjetil Tonning presented the draft FIEC statement "Four Years Since the Beginning of Russia's Full-Scale Invasion" to gather comments and proposals.

📌 Concluding the meeting, he announced the date of the next session — April 13, 2026.
