🏗️ On November 22-24, 2023, the SMART CONSTRUCTION EXPO 2023 took place in Ilsan, Republic of Korea. It was visited by Dmytro Ponomarenko, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ukraine to the Republic of Korea, and Oleksandr Chervak, Executive Director of the Confederation of Builders of Ukraine (CBU).

💬During the Ukraine-Korea Reconstruction International Forum, Oleksandr Chervak assured that Ukraine is open to cooperation: "We are interested in implementing modern, state-of-the-art technologies that will help make the reconstruction of high quality. Their development will be of great benefit and promise. But such technologies are not yet widespread in Ukraine. The implementation requires significant time and resources, as well as investments. Ukraine is open to cooperation to make the reconstruction efficient and fast. Build Back Better!"

Innovative construction technologies of the best Korean and international companies were presented at the exhibition, allowing to increase the efficiency of construction and make it digital:

✔️Data & Platform (BIM, Digital Twin, Artificial Intelligence (AI), 3D Scanning, LiDAR, Digital Mapping, Data Acquisition & Management Technology);

✔️Off-site Construction & Automation (Modular, Precast Concrete, Prefab, 3D Printing, Robotics);

✔️Intelligent Construction Equipment (Construction Equipment Control Technology, Unmanned Technology and Autonomous Technology);

✔️Smart Safety (Construction Site Control & Analysis, Worker Safety, Temporary Structure Safety, Emergency Disaster Response)

The exhibition was organized by the Korea Expressway Corporation, with the support of The Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport (MOLIT) and co-organized by the Korea Institute of Civil Engineering and Building Technology (KICT), Korea Land & Housing Corporation, Korea National Railway, Korea Authority of Land & Infrastructure Safety, Korea Agency for Infrastructure Technology Advancement (KAIA).

🏆During the exhibition, MOLIT announced the winners of the Smart Construction Challenge 2023, which directed their activities to the development of smart construction technologies. 5 nominations were provided: safety management, complexes/housing, roads, railroads, and building information modeling (BIM).
