🏘️Typical designs can become an effective solution for reconstruction

Ready-made typical designs can enable the construction of social infrastructure at half the cost, at least twice as fast, ensure high quality, and minimize corruption risks.

This was emphasized by Lev Partskhaladze, President of the Confederation of Builders of Ukraine, during the conference “Construction and Infrastructure: Key Sectors for Economic Growth.”

Reconstruction is already underway: there are active businesses participating, and international partners willing to provide funding. However, when it comes to the actual rebuilding of what has been destroyed, difficulties arise. For example, in 2024, UAH 7 billion remained unused. These funds were allocated in the budget, but no projects were available for them.

Developing a project requires resources, specialists, and most importantly – time. But hospitals, schools, and safety centers are needed by people today. In such circumstances, typical social infrastructure designs may be the solution.

Recently, the Confederation of Builders of Ukraine, together with Pragmatika.Media, launched the creation of a catalog of typical designs called “Architectural Navigator”. This initiative will provide several versions of various social facilities: schools, kindergartens, district hospitals, rural outpatient clinics, safety centers, administrative service centers, police stations, courts, councils, administrations, etc.

Each community will be able to choose a design and adapt it to its needs and local characteristics.
