🎓 Which professions will be most in demand during the reconstruction of Ukraine: a meeting of the EdUP Business Advisory Board was held in Kyiv

📅 On June 12, 2026, a meeting of the EdUP Project Business Advisory Board was held in Kyiv, during which representatives of the project, business, international partners, and the educational community discussed the results of cooperation over the past six months, current labor market needs, and prospects for the development of vocational education in Ukraine.

👥 The event participants emphasized the importance of strengthening interaction between business, vocational education institutions, and the state to train qualified personnel for the economic recovery and reconstruction of Ukraine.

📌 Opening the meeting, EdUP Project Manager Yuliia Yepifanova highlighted the role of the Business Advisory Board as a platform for dialogue between vocational education institutions, employers, and state institutions.

👤 The Head of the Business Advisory Board, CBU General Director Oleksandr Chervak, summarized the board's work for the first half of 2026.

📚 Among the key results:
🔹 development of the "Concreter" occupational standard;
🔹 advanced training for vocational training instructors;
🔹 conducting a mentorship course;
🔹 organizing more than 30 enterprise excursions for students and teachers of vocational education institutions;
🔹 improving educational infrastructure and the material and technical base.

🇨🇭 Deputy Director of the Cooperation Programme of the Embassy of Switzerland in Ukraine, Viktor Shutkevych, noted the effectiveness of the public-private partnership model implemented within the EdUP project.

🏗️ A separate block of the meeting was dedicated to the future needs of the labor market and identifying the professions that will be most in demand during the reconstruction of Ukraine.

👤 Swisscontact Country Director in Ukraine, Poshan KC, noted that despite the adaptability of Ukrainian business in wartime conditions, the shortage of qualified workers remains one of the key challenges for the economy.

📌 Also, at the end of the meeting, Oleksandr Sherstiuk, representative of SE "CAPAROL UKRAINE" and member of the CBU Board of Directors, was elected as the new Head of the EdUP Business Advisory Board for a 6-month term.
