On July 14, 2026, a round table "Construction Workforce for Ukraine's Reconstruction: Roadmap for the Development of Workforce Capacity in the Construction Sector of Ukraine for 2026–2030" was held. The event was organized by the Confederation of Builders of Ukraine (CBU) with the support of the multi-donor initiative хештег#Skills4Recovery.

The event brought together representatives of state authorities, construction companies, industry associations, educational institutions, the State Employment Center, the National Qualifications Agency, trade unions, as well as public and international organizations. The participants discussed ways to overcome the shortage of qualified workers in construction and update their training system.

An important topic of the discussion was forecasting the future needs of the labor market and forming effective mechanisms for training specialists for the country's reconstruction. Among the key issues of the event was also the discussion of the development of the professional qualifications system and its adaptation to the current needs of the labor market.

The concept of the Roadmap for the Development of Workforce Capacity in the Construction Sector of Ukraine for 2026–2030 was presented by Olha Sydorchuk, Head of the CBU Committee on Legislative and Regulatory Framework, Partner at Altelaw&Sempra Law Firm, and Member of the CBU Board of Directors.

Following the strategic discussion, the participants provided suggestions for the draft Roadmap, which will be taken into account during its finalization.
The next stage will be the public presentation of the Roadmap for the Development of Workforce Capacity in the Construction Sector of Ukraine for 2026–2030, which will take place on August 5, 2026.
