📚 Continuing our joint work on a modern model of vocational education

📆 On December 22, 2025, a meeting of working groups was held within the "Professional Synergy" project by sequa, dedicated to developing effective models of cooperation between business and vocational education institutions.

The project is implemented with the support of the Skills4Recovery multi-donor initiative, funded by the European Union, Germany, Poland, Denmark, and Estonia, and implemented by Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) and Solidarity Fund PL in Ukraine (SFPL).

During the meeting, participants continued their joint work on key issues, including the development of contractual agreements between enterprises, educational institutions, and students, as well as the formation of industrial training plans for relevant professions, taking into account the real needs of companies.

💬 Opening the meeting, Oleksandr Chervak, Executive Director of the CBU, emphasized: "Today, cooperation between business and vocational education is often limited to formal memorandums, while companies effectively train employees on their own."

🎖️ He also noted that a separate area of work is the establishment of a quality mark for companies that consciously invest in the training of specialists.

Participants also highlighted that the current dual education model contains significant financial and legal risks for business. Among them are the insufficient detail of implementation mechanisms, issues of student remuneration, termination of contracts, etc.

💬 Katharina Hartmann, sequa Project Manager, emphasized: "The issue of risks in dual education is fundamentally important. To reduce them, it is crucial to work out possible incentives for employers."

🖥️ During the session, a webinar regarding the new Law of Ukraine "On Vocational Education" was announced, featuring representatives from the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine and international experts.
