Cooperation for Ukraine’s Reconstruction: CBU and CLDP Explore Opportunities to Engage American Business
📌 On March 9, 2026, representatives of the Commercial Law Development Program (CLDP) met with the Confederation of Builders of Ukraine (CBU) to discuss the involvement of American companies in the reconstruction of Ukraine.
🤝 During the meeting, participants reviewed potential areas of cooperation between the CLDP and CBU, specifically regarding the implementation of programs and initiatives aimed at developing partnerships between American and Ukrainian construction businesses. Discussions also focused on the possibility of holding joint events both in Ukraine and abroad to foster professional dialogue and establish business contacts within the construction industry.
👥 The event was attended by Oleksandr Chervak, Executive Director of the CBU, and CLDP representatives: Raquel Martinez Sloan, Attorney-Advisor, and Levi Latoz, International Program Specialist.
📚 The discussion highlighted the legal, regulatory, and commercial barriers that may limit the participation of American companies in Ukraine’s recovery and reconstruction projects.
🌎 A previous meeting between the parties took place in Orlando, Florida, during IBS 2026 — one of the largest international exhibitions and conferences in the US focused on residential construction and housing finance. This event served as an additional platform for discussing the prospects of cooperation between the Ukrainian and American construction sectors.
