🎖️ Day of Remembrance and Victory over Nazism
🗓️ May 8 marks the Day of Remembrance and Victory over Nazism in the Second World War of 1939-1945 in Ukraine. It is a day when we remember the millions of victims, honor the heroic deeds of those who fought against Nazism, and emphasize the importance of preserving historical truth.
🏙️ During the Second World War, Ukraine suffered large-scale destruction and colossal loss of life—millions of Ukrainians perished on the front lines, as a result of the occupation, mass shootings, repressions, and forced deportations. Entire cities and communities were devastated: residential areas, industry, transport, and engineering infrastructure were destroyed. Following the end of hostilities, the country underwent a long and difficult path of reconstruction, which required significant resources and became one of the most extensive infrastructural processes of that era.
🇺🇦 Today, amid the full-scale war, the events of the past hold special significance for Ukraine, reminding us of the price of peace, the importance of resilience, and the collective effort needed to preserve and restore the country.
🕯️ Eternal memory to the fallen. Honor and respect to all who fought and continue to fight for the freedom of Ukraine.
WE WILL WIN AND REBUILD EVERYTHING! 💪
TOGETHER TO VICTORY!
GLORY TO UKRAINE! 💙💛
