❓How to act in the conditions of inspections and investigations: practical advice from experts

The seminar "Business security during interaction with law enforcement agencies" was held, organized by the Barristers law association together with the Confederation of Builders of Ukraine.

🤝During the event, the leading lawyers of the Barristers — managing partner Constantine Globa, as well as partners Oleksandr Tananakin and Andriy Yosypov — provided the participants with valuable recommendations on legal protection of business.

Participants had the opportunity to discuss key aspects of legal security, typical risks for business in the context of inspections and investigations, as well as effective strategies for protecting the rights of enterprises.

✔️ Oleksandr Chervak, CEO of CBU, gave a welcome speech. He thanked Barristers experts for the opportunity for CBU members to join the seminar and emphasized the importance of such events.

👤Constantine Globa listed the situations that citizens may face when interacting with law enforcement agencies. He also shared practical advice on what to do in case of confiscation or search.

The second aspect, which the expert drew attention to, are cases when law enforcement officers do not allow a lawyer to defend a person. He explained how to act in such situations and provided a step-by-step algorithm of actions.

A third aspect that can affect the business is conducting a large number of interviews on a single person. Although this is not prohibited by the Law, the expert noted that such actions can be used to create additional pressure.

In addition, Constantine Globa spoke about delays in examinations during the confiscation of property, shared examples of such cases and gave advice on how to act in similar situations.

He also described how to behave in cases of the use of physical force by law enforcement officers, and gave examples of such situations from his own experience.

Barristers experts explained what aspects of a non-disclosure agreement are covered in various interrogation situations and how to proceed if it is breached.

Using practical examples, the lawyers explained the rules for using mobile devices during interrogations and pointed out the applications that law enforcement officers pay attention to most often.

👤Oleksandr Tananakin talked about the necessary steps during the confiscation of property and provided recommendations for protection in difficult situations.

The participants of the event received answers to many important questions and expressed their willingness to participate in similar meetings in the future.
