🌐On April 26, 2024, a meeting of the FIEC-EIC Task Force "Ukraine" was held.

📜Kjetil Tonning, Chairman of the FIEC-EIC Task Force on Ukraine, Honorary President of the European Construction Industry Federation (FIEC), made a welcome speech, who reminded about the FIEC-EIC Recommendations on the future reconstruction of Ukraine (hereinafter - Recommendations), developed last year.

👤 Yevhen Plashchenko, Director of the Department of Territorial Planning and Architecture of the Ministry for Communities, Territories and Infrastructure Development of Ukraine, took part in the discussion of the Recommendations.
He emphasized the importance of combining European experience and practices with Ukrainian ones: "The issue of reconstruction is an issue that regulates the process of improving the quality of life and economic growth of post-war Ukraine. We considered the recommendations - these are really relevant things that should be implemented in our legislation, and to follow such directions in the reconstruction process. Understanding the number of damaged and destroyed housing, understanding the volumes that need to be built, without the help of all partners and without harmonizing all norms with European ones, it will be difficult to come to really high-quality solutions."
Yevhen Plashchenko noted that work is underway on the implementation of specific things, for example, BIM design, etc.
🌐Also, during the meeting, Richard Touroude, Director of International Affairs at the Fédération Nationale des Travaux Publics, reported that yesterday, within the framework of INTERMAT 2024, with the participation of Lev Partskhaladze, President of the CBU, together with Nataliia Kozlovska, Deputy Minister for Communities, Territories and Infrastructure Development of Ukraine and international partners discussed the Recommendations.
♻️ Bart Gruyaert, Project Director of the Neo-Eco Ukraine, presented the company's work in Ukraine. So, over the past 2 years, the company has already implemented 10 successful circular economy projects.
💬"What we were working on did not exist in Ukraine on paper. We worked with local waste processing companies and ended up with better results than we expected," Bart Gruyaert commented on the projects implemented in the Kyiv region, Chernihiv, Mykolaiv regions and Kryvyi Rih.
The participants of the meeting noted that it is especially important to take measures for the safety of workers, in particular, when working with hazardous materials, for example, with asbestos.
👤Gabriel Blanc, Team Leader of the Reconstruction of Ukraine group of DG NEAR of the European Commission, presented the Ukraine Facility plan, in particular, the recovery investment framework. He noted the high pace of reform implementation, which is important for Ukraine's accession to the EU.
In his opinion, it is important to develop a progressive and coordinated business environment in Ukraine and ensure macro-financial stability.

👤Oleksandr Chervak, Executive Director of CBU, informed partners about the Recovery Construction Forum Ukraine, which took place on April 11, 2024, and which was attended by more than 2 thousand guests. He also invited to join the next forum in Kyiv, which will be held in October 2024, and the Recovery Construction Forum 3.0, which will be held on November 13, 2024, in Warsaw, Poland.
🤝"Thank you for your support! Let's work together to speed up the reconstruction process in Ukraine!" - stressed the Executive Director of the CBU.
