👤 Oleksandr Kharchenko, Vice President of the Confederation of Builders of Ukraine, Head of the CBU Regional Office in Kharkiv Region and Chairman of the Supervisory Board of TRUST ZHYTLOBUD-1, spoke as a speaker at the thematic panel “Community Reconstruction Policy: 2024 Summary and 2025 Priorities.”

He noted that before the war, the company had delivered 5,500 apartments and carried out the construction of churches, zoos, parks, and other infrastructure worth approximately 7 billion UAH.

📉 Regarding the current situation, according to Mr. Kharchenko, in 2024, TRUST ZHYTLOBUD-1 sold 160 apartments in Kharkiv, while the number of employees at its enterprises decreased from 3,500 to 1,000.

The main priority today, according to the Vice President of the CBU, is housing restoration for citizens. In 2024, TRUST ZHYTLOBUD-1 restored 107 buildings in Kharkiv, including frame, panel, and brick structures.

According to Oleksandr Kharchenko, over 500 buildings in Kharkiv need restoration, and this number continues to grow.

🏫 He also mentioned that 7 underground schools and 1 kindergarten are already under construction in Kharkiv to ensure safe learning conditions for children. These shelters will allow students and preschoolers to receive education offline without interruptions due to air raid alarms and shelling. This is an important step in creating a modern and secure educational infrastructure.

🏗️ TRUST ZHYTLOBUD-1 has built over 100 platoon strongholds, which include 200 km of trenches and more than 900 reinforced concrete structures.

Additionally, the company is constructing second-level protective structures in the energy sector.

👪 Currently, 1 million people live in Kharkiv, including 200,000 internally displaced persons (IDPs). Mr. Kharchenko emphasized the need for state programs to provide social rental housing for IDPs. He added that TRUST ZHYTLOBUD-1 has developed proposals to provide 1,000 housing units and is ready to present and implement this project.

👛 Oleksandr Kharchenko stated that the current price of housing in Kharkiv's primary market ranges from 20,000 to 25,000 UAH per square meter, while the cost of construction materials and labor is significantly higher than in other regions.

In conclusion, Mr. Kharchenko emphasized that despite everything, Kharkiv continues to live and develop.
